In Monopoly GO, being attacked by the same person throughout the day can get frustrating, especially if there is seemingly no way to stop their constant barrages. Fortunately, the game has some features to help reduce the odds of this happening, but it isn’t guaranteed to stop it entirely.
How to remove someone in Monopoly GO
There is no way to block players in Monopoly GO. Instead, if you have someone added as a friend but keep getting attacked by them, you can remove them using the steps below:
- In your Monopoly GO app, select the Friends menu.
- Go to Leaderboard.
- Go to the Friends tab.
- Select a friend and tap Remove.
Once you confirm your selection, you’ll remove them from your friend list, making it much harder for them to attack you during landmark shutdowns. While they may still randomly encounter you, they won’t spot you in their friend list when picking a shutdown target.
However, even if you remove someone as a friend, there’s a chance they’ll continue targeting you. After all, since you can’t block them, you’re still open to their attacks. One way to handle this is to land on a railroad tile, initiate a shutdown, and head into your recent attacks list to get revenge on them. That way, even if they target you, you’ll dish out attacks, too, reducing their shields and stealing some of their money.
Alternatively, you can change your avatar and name to make it harder for them to identify you. You can do this using the following steps:
- Select the three lines in your Monopoly GO app.
- Tap your name at the top of the menu.
- Select either the pencil button next to your name to change your name.
- Pick an avatar below your name to change your profile picture.
- Save your changes.
Doing this will make it more challenging for them to determine who you are, which may help deter attacks. However, you’ll also have to let your friends and family know who you are so they don’t accidentally attack you.
