A game’s launch can be a rocky time, and Content Warning’s hasn’t been the smoothest. In particular, there’s a nasty bug that causes the chat audio to stop working. The team is working on a fix, but for now, here are a couple things that can help.
Note: This bug should have been fixed by the April 10 hotfix. Update your game first if you haven’t already.
The issue is a commonly reported one where players suddenly can’t hear each other. The developer is aware of the issue, but in the mean time, they suggest a temporary fix.
Most players having the problem are supposedly using Focusrite Control, a common audio control program that sometimes comes preinstalled on OEM computers. The developers suggest combining input 1 and 2 in the control panel, as shown in this article on Focusrite’s support page.
Here are the steps:
To enable this feature in Focusrite Control 2:
- Open Preferences in Focusrite Control 2.
- Enable the tick box next to Combine Input 1 and Input 2.
Or to enable it via the hardware:
- Press and hold the front panel ‘Direct’ button for three seconds.
This fix is only going to work for a subset of users, but right now it’s the only known way to address the problem. It’s likely that a patch will be released soon, as this is a prevalent issue, but for now, this is the provided solution.
