Skyclops is a rather unique-looking Dream Realm boss in AFK Journey. It’s described as a “nightmare” but looks to me like a “biblically correct angel.” Either way, it fights by summoning help. You might need help, too, which is why I’m here.
As always, the composition of your team is going to be based heavily on what you’ve accumulated in playing AFK Journey. You might not have a particular character, and if you do, it’s possible that they aren’t at an effective tier. I’ll give you the best-case scenario, but if you can’t meet it, maybe check out our tier list for substitutes.
Best team composition for Skyclops
Skyclops is not a very straightforward fight. You’re going to want a tank, but dealing as much damage to the boss and taking out its minions effectively are top priority. However, it’s difficult to pin down an exact best team. However, I think ideally, it would be something like.
- Kruger
- Odie
- Cecia
- Koko
- Smokey & Meerky
As I said, there’s a certain amount of flex in this one. Rather than Kruger, you could lean on a trusty Thoran. If you’re in a pinch, Marilee could stand in for Odie or Cecia; the DPS archers. Instead of Smokey & Meerky, Hewynn could keep your party alive (though you’ll lose some needed DPS). An equal hazard than just a party wipe; if your party isn’t able to deal with Skyclops’ summoned lackeys, then time might run out on the battle.
What skills does Skyclops have?
In battle, Skyclops has four skills: three normal and one ultimate. Two of them summon partners for it, which isn’t good news.
- Laser Beam (Ultimate): Skyclops will fire a laser that it moves in a 10-tile arch. It’s not exactly fancy, but it is powerful.
- Wings of Light: No matter what level you’re fighting Skyclops at, this move summons four Wings of Light. While its partners are present, Skyclops has damage immunity, but its attacks are slightly less effective. It alternates this move with…
- Wings of Darkness: This is essentially the same as Wings of Light but… darker.
- Buff: The Skyclops’ last move will buff its damage depending on how many “Wings” are still on the field. Wings of Light buffs its physical damage, while Wings of Darkness buffs magic.
