The Renetti had a few days under the sun after becoming the best weapon in Warzone for a few days. But that parade has ended, as Raven Software delivered a devastating nerf to the once-meta pick.
Alongside the April 9 update, Raven Software promised a Renetti adjustment “in the near future.” The devs wasted no time and nerfed the overpowered pistol one day later. The JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit for the Renetti had its maximum damage decreased from 36 to 26 and minimum damage downgraded from 28 to 24. Additionally, the Conversion Kit’s maximum damage range was changed from 17.52 meters to 12.4 meters. Finally, the lower, arms, and hand multipliers were increased from one to 1.1x, which should save the pistol slightly.
We expect the pistol to still perform well enough as a secondary weapon, but we don’t expect the Renetti to outclass any primary weapons like SMGs or shotguns. After this patch, we believe the HRM-9 will be Warzone’s best short-range meta weapon. It has a time-to-kill speed of 612 milliseconds and downs opponents in around 10.5 bullets, leading the pack in statistical performance.
According to WZ Ranked, the Lachmann Sub currently has a higher pick rate, too. MW2 weapons have generally performed well below expectation in MW3’s iteration of Warzone, but the Lachmann Sub had its maximum damage and maximum damage ranged improved in the Season 3 update.
If neither of those SMGs is quite your cup of tea, FaZe Swagg believes that the Tempus Razorback has what it takes to be the new king of Rebirth Island. The Warzone streamer argued that excellent recoil makes the AR a must-use weapon. Regardless of what players decide to use, community members no longer need to worry about the Renetti wreaking havoc on their lobbies.
