How to unlock Unmoored World in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Players can unlock the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Unmoored World by triggering the true ending. To reach this event, you must use the Empowered Godsbane Blade on the dragon’s heart in Legacy (while riding on its back.) Then, select ‘Use on self’ shortly after. If you’ve already completed the dragon fight during Legacy, there’s still time to reach Dragon’s Dogma 2’s endgame. Talk to Pathfinder during the credits, returning you to the dragon.
After being transported to the Unmoored World, you’ll notice that everything has changed. The cities will be in a state of terror, and it’s up to you to safely guide them out. The surrounding waters have also been completely drained, allowing players to move around the lands freely. There are also some new quests to complete and boss challenges to tackle.
One thing I like about the Unmoored World is that it offers plenty of free valuables. Almost every pathway presents chests and Ferrystones lying on the ground. Be on the lookout for these items, especially the Ferrystones. You’ll need to use them as much as possible since time is of the essence here.
How does time work in the Unmoored World?
A fog closes in on all the various settlements in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It takes roughly 12 days for it to cover the entire map. The fog seemingly hits Sacred Arbor and the Excavation Site first, meaning you won’t be able to save these citizens during the Halls of the First Dawn quest.
Resting should only be used when necessary. Doing it too much may wrap up everything in the Unmoored World, even if there are still things to do. This also includes avoiding bench rests to progress time. Use Allheal Elixirs and Wakestones to replenish health instead.
Fortunately, the fog slows down if you eliminate the red beams (boss fights). Once I unlocked the last red beam during the When Wills Collide quest, time wasn’t as crucial anymore, and I was free to finish other tasks. Thus, focus on these battles first so you don’t always have to race against time.
What to do first in Unmoored World endgame
Now that I’ve completed Unmoored World in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there are a few things I wish I had done first. For starters, once you arrive in the new world, go to the Bay Wayside Shrine. It’ll be next to the initial spawn point, providing robust materials for Dragon’s Dogma 2’s endgame content.
To get your Main Pawn back, finish the Dreams Apart mission. It’s easy to do, but you’ll likely trigger the following quest: A Scholarly Pursuit.
The next objective should be to complete all the red beams. As mentioned, this procedure slows the fog, making the quests less time-consuming. They’ll be marked with red circle waypoints around the map:
You can simultaneously take down all the enemies at the red beam and help the cities with Halls of the First Dawn. This enables you to knock out two birds with one stone rather than traveling back there again.
How to complete Unmoored World in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To complete the Unmoored World, you must finish all the new quest-related content. In particular, When Wills Collide is the most important, as it opens the portal to a new cutscene and New Game Plus. You may also want to max out your Pawn’s Affinity for a special scene in the end. For this, take care of your Pawn as much as possible through conversations, high-fiving them, and using the Hot Spring.

Where to rest in Unmoored World after Halls of the First Dawn
After the Halls of the First Dawn quest, all settlements no longer provide lodges for rest due to the evacuation. The only place that’s available to sleep at is the Seafloor Shrine Vocation Guild. It now acts as a main hub for everything you need, primarily with vendors.
Remember that the Seafloor Shrine red beam links to the game’s ending. So, I’d avoid using it for those who still want to explore the Unmoored World.
How to leave Unmoored World in DD2
To leave the Unmoored World in Dragon’s Dogma 2, activate the red light in the Seafloor Shrine. This can be achieved after defeating the enemies at the red beacons or by resting a few times. If you’re a completionist, go with the first option. But, if you’re simply over the brutality of the Unmoored World, there is a way to speed this up.
Rest at the Seafloor Shrine Vocation Guild around 12-14 times, and the red light should eventually appear. I know it’s tedious to sleep over and over again, but it beats having to go through the challenging endgame bits.
Stepping through the portal marks the end of Dragon’s Dogma 2’s epic tale. New Game Plus will also be available on the main menu for those who can’t get enough of the adventure. Current level, skills, and items can carry over to the next playthrough. Nevertheless, quest-related objects won’t be accessible until you’ve reached a certain point in the narrative.
