You know what DSiWare means? It means that DS games can finally enjoy the fun-filled world of downloadable content! A rumor from NeoGAF hints that this potential will soon be realized by Square Enix, with DLC keeping Dragon Quest IX fresh for a very long time.
The rumor suggests that Squeenix will be delivering downloadable missions for Dragon Quest IX once a week. In addition, the game allegedly contains twenty-five treasure map bosses, including 12 old bosses from Dragon Quest‘s past. The bosses start at level one, and get stronger as you continue to beat them. Apparently, it’s also possible to recreate past heroes thanks to rare drops.
It looks as if Square Enix wasn’t lying when it said that DQIX was going to be big. If this stuff is true, then the game is quite possible the largest and most expansive portable game ever made. Sounds like you’ll get your money’s worth, in any case.
