All Diablo 4 classes ranked by most fun to play

The following classes are going to be put in an unusual order. We all have our different playstyles, but the order of the five current classes in the game may wildly differ from power levels in the current state of the meta.

Sorcerer

The Sorcerer isn’t the strongest of the bunch, but their mobbing potential mixed with the visual effects of their abilities make them perhaps the most fun in the game. Chain lightning, fireballs, and explosions everywhere, or waves of ice freezing and shattering enemies— it’s awesome to use the elements to kill hordes of enemies.

Sure, this class does tend to struggle with bossing unless you use very niche builds. It’s just that when you come across different sorcerers out in public activities, they won’t have the same setup as others. The elementalist aspect and how visually appealing their abilities make them the most fun to play.

Necromancer

Despite objectively being the worst class in the game, the Necromancer is actually one of the more fun classes to play in the leveling stages of Diablo 4. Hopefully, with the big changes happening in Season 4, the Necromancer will actually feel as powerful as it does in the early game transitioning into the endgame.

Right now, it’s only their Bone Spear that has any viability in the endgame, which can get stale. However, once things like Corpse Explosion, the minions, Blood Surge, Blood Lance, and other abilities actually are on par with high-tier and top-tier builds, Necro stocks are about to skyrocket.

Rogue

The Rogue is a solid overall class that excels at kiting or training enemies. There’s something so satisfying about rounding up a bunch of enemies together, throwing a nice Penetrating shot, and racking up incomprehensible numbers. Of course, this class’ abilities can differ from just something as plain as that.

The whole ranged aspect of this class is so fun. Setups are satisfying to pull off. You have the tools to gain distance from your enemies and there’s always that risk of getting murked if you slip up for even half a second. It’s a high-risk, high-reward class that’s satisfying to play.

Diablo 4 Barbarian

Barbarian

If you’re all about cheese, big damage, and survivability, Barbarians can be quite fun. However, with cheese comes a shorter shelf life to the class. After easily clearing all the tough endgame stuff like Uber bosses, Tier 100 Nightmare dungeons, and Gauntlets, that’s sort of it with the class.

If you’re someone who wants to get a feel of how steeply difficult the content can get in Diablo 4, Barbarian is a solid class to start. Other than that, it’s just cheese with builds that utilize Hammer of the Ancients or Upheaval.

Druid

The Druid class can definitely hold its own in the endgame, surpassing the power of the other classes except the Barbarian. In terms of the fun factor, it can be a slog. Leveling sucks with this class. The cool stuff in difficult content is a bit too gear-dependent. It takes a lot to make the Druid actually fun and viable, and by the time you get there, it feels like it’s too little too late.
