Don’t panic, anybody! Edge of Twilight, the steampunk action game that Destructoid has been anxious for since forever, is still called Edge of Twilight. Developer Fuzzyeyes was apparently involved in a bit of legal nonsense, trying to make sure the game could have its name without infringing on the copyright of EDGE Games.
So yeah, that’s been resolved.
There really isn’t much of a reason to run this story, outside of the fact that I’m really hyped for this game and love having an excuse to talk about it. So, this is more just a friendly reminder from me that the game is still out there, somewhere.
I really would like word on a possible release date, however, and the lack of a publisher name anywhere on the press release is certainly confusing. I’ll keep digging around to see what’s up with this game, since the studio is still pretty sure that it’s getting released as planned, and I’ve seen the thing in action, so I know it exists. Something seems weird, but we’ll keep you posted on any developments.
FUZZYEYES™ approached EDGE® Games several months ago, with the intent to resolve any
issues arising out of both companies use of the mark “EDGE.” Fuzzyeyes, developer of the game
titled “Edge of Twilight,” sought to address any potential trademark conflicts. Through
amicable negotiations, Fuzzyeyes and Edge Games have arrived at a satisfactory arrangement that
addresses the concerns of both parties. This arrangement allows the highly anticipated Edge of
Twilight to proceed with its title unchanged, and without infringement on any trademarks held by
