Good graphics forefronter Videlectix has announced then subsequently kicked out the door a new Roomisode for the paramount point-and-click, Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate. Its nomer has now become a misnomer.
The new roomisode features the eponymous Dangeresque’s counterweight Dangeresque Too as he fights the fickle stubbornness of elevator doors using adventure game logic. That’s all I got, about the new episode, so here are the bullet points from the release:
- Um, more puzzles
- Uhh, more cutscenes
- More entertaining ways to die
- Single click interface! Dangeresque Too doesn’t mess about with Talk and Look!
- New Achievements
As legend has it, Dangeresque: The Roomisode came out in 2008 around the time of the blockbuster Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People. Last year, the newly resurr-awoken Videlectrix remastered and re-released it with two new Roomisodes stapled on.
It’s really good! If I can talk real here, the fact that Videlectrix squished down the point-and-click formula to fit in one room (later three) is quite the design flex. Take that, doors. We don’t need you.
The new Roomisode, Roomisode X was teased way, way back a few months ago when my life peaked and I interviewed the Brothers Chaps. That was a fun time. Let’s all reflect on that for a while.
Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate is available on PC and Linux. Roomisode X should have been glued on there by now.
