After allowing players to level up their weapons faster in XDefiant last weekend, Ubisoft decided to come back and gift everyone another double weapon XP period.
Ubisoft confirmed that double weapon XP will be available starting Friday at 10 a.m. ET and ending Monday at 1 p.m. ET. This comes after players complained that XDefiant’s weapon progression is ‘criminally slow.’
One XDefiant player claimed it takes over 100 hours to level up one weapon. XDefiant developer Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price clapped back and attempted to reassure fans by claiming that its 3500 XP per weapon level and one kill equals 100 XP. So, operating under that math, it is a maximum of 35 kills per level.
For secondary weapons, that requirement is even less, with 1500 XP per weapon level. Each weapon has 50 levels, meaning it could take players a few hours to reach the max level on every weapon, but it all depends on their skill level.
Skilled players should be able to get around 20-30 kills per round, but that’s also no easy feat. It’s unclear how much of a difference it makes with double XP active, but users should take advantage of it while they can. To get XP faster, Domination or Occupy. Both game modes are fast-paced and take place on the title’s smaller-scaled maps.
