Where the Wild Things Are is one of my favorite books from when I was a child. The character of Max speaks to me, as I was always something of the willful sort, and I have a bunch of cool Wild Things stuff (including these awesome Munnys I was given for my birthday last month). I’ll admit, I’m not terribly excited for the film, but that’s okay. I’ll always have the book.
And probably the videogame. Even if it does wind up straying far from the path of the original story, I don’t care. The opportunity to interact with even a faded shadow of that world which captivated my imagination as a young child is worth the risk that it winds up being crap.
Speaking of said game, we have a trailer for it and a few screenshots. You may find this — and your supper1 — after the jump.
1Naughty children do not get supper. If you do not find supper here, perhaps you should go to your room and think about what you’ve done.
