These latest screens for God of War III — released as part of Sony’s media blast for gamescom — aren’t as bloody as we might have expected. But this isn’t upsetting.
In fact, they’re relatively tame compared to some of the decapitation and entrail-removal we’ve seen. But it’s hard to argue that screens featuring Kratos firing a flaming bow and arrow at some sort of knife-wielding hell beast aren’t totally bad ass. Because, just… wow? Yeah.
It kind of makes Dante’s Inferno — which looks pretty damned good in its own right — seem like the game we’ll just be playing to kill time before God of War III comes out. Which is in March. We know this because we’re counting the days.
