How to unlock the remote-controlled doll device mechanism in Wuthering Waves

Dolls are the real MVP of this quest.

Wuthering Waves doll mechanism puzzle solutions

During the second part of Wuthering Waves’ Solitary Path quest, you’ll find yourself in a doll factory with Yinlin. Following a brief discussion, you’ll proceed, only to encounter a room with a remote-controller mechanism controlling Yinlin’s doll. Let’s figure out how to unlock each mechanism so you can escape the factory.

How to unlock the mechanism through the remote-controlled doll device

During the Solitary Path quest, you’ll encounter multiple remote-controlled mechanisms. The first is a simple introduction to the mechanic, with future ones involving some problem-solving. Nonetheless, they all require you to use a party member—likely Yinlin—and the doll to weigh pressure platforms down.

First remote-controlled doll mechanism solution

After entering the first room with the remote-controlled doll device mechanism, interact with it to take control of Yinlin’s doll. Using the doll, stand on the pressure platform in the room’s center to deactivate the lasers preventing you from leaving the room before swapping back to Yinlin’s perspective.

With the doll standing on the platform, use Yinlin to escape the room, allowing you to advance through the first room. This is the first of several puzzle rooms, but the ones following this get slightly trickier.

Second remote-controlled doll mechanism solution

From here onward, the puzzles get slightly more challenging. In the second area, you’ll find two red pressure platforms and two cubes. Place the first cube on one of the platforms using levitator before standing on the second to unlock the lasers. Since the lasers will lock again upon stepping off, use your levitator to take the second cube and place it where you’re standing to keep the plate active, allowing you to enter the room and activate the remote-controlled doll mechanism.

Once you activate the mechanism, you’ll turn into a doll again. In your doll form, travel under the lasers behind you, which previously blocked your human form, until you find an area with smaller lasers. To your right, you’ll find a staircase leading to a pressure plate, which you can stand on in your doll form to deactivate every nearby laser.

After standing on this second pressure plate as a doll, swap back to Yinlin to advance to the third remote-controlled doll mechanism puzzle.

Third remote-controlled doll mechanism solution

The third remote-controlled doll puzzle requires a lot of switching back and forth between Yinlin and her doll. Right away, you’ll spot a doll device, which you’ll need to activate to enable the doll’s perspective. In your doll form, head under the lasers and stand on the first pressure plate, allowing Yinlin to pass through the first set of barriers.

Next, while having the doll stand on the first pressure plate, swap back to Yinlin and move into the next room. Like before, you’ll have another doll mechanism and a pressure plate, which you’ll need the doll to step on. Activate the remote-controlled doll mechanism to switch back to the doll before bringing it to Yinlin’s current room and stepping on this plate.

Doing this will remove the final set of lasers for this section. Now, in your human form, you can advance to the next section of the Solitary Path quest’s doll factory, concluding this series of remote-controlled doll device mechanism puzzles.
