How to get Incarnon weapons in Warframe

Time to revisit the Sibear?

Five Incarnon weapon options

Incarnon weapons are a fascinating area of Warframe weapon evolutions. The ability to use Incarnon Genesis upgrades to existing weapons adds a level of customizability, allowing players to tailor builds more effectively.

This system is only available through Warframe’s story content, so if you want to unlock Incarnon weapons, you will need to complete at least the Angels of the Zariman questline. Additionally, to get the most out of it, you should ideally unlock the Steel Path and the Circuit, too. This guide includes some light spoilers for those plotlines, all outlining how to unlock the Incarnon weapons in Warframe.

Warframe Incarnon Weapons: Unlock requirements and details

The unique fluid metal look of Incarnon weapons comes from their transformation by the Void itself. You will no doubt recognise their striking visual design from the internal architecture of the Void-twisted Zariman, and this also reflects their changeable nature.

Each Incarnon weapon has multiple stages of evolution, which must be unlocked with particular achievements, similar to unlocking Rivens, though thankfully a little more consistent than Riven unlocks. The early levels often have easy requirements, while the unique Incarnon weapons have tougher Tier III Evolution challenges linked to missions on the Zariman or the Sanctum Anatomica.

You can purchase the blueprint for your first Incarnon, the Laetum, through Cavalero on the Zariman after unlocking the Holdfasts during the Angels of the Zariman plotline. The blueprint costs 3000 standing, but can be obtained from standing level 0 with the Holdfasts. T

The Laetum is a strong starting Incarnon weapon, with a chunky semi-automatic pistol as its basic form that deals radiation damage with an overall above-average statline. As you achieve headshots with it during missions, the central reticule fills up and you can use the alt fire to transform it into a dangerous automatic rifle. With an easy first evolution to unlock, the Laetum is a great introduction to the Incarnon system and remains one of the best Incarnon weapons.

Additional Incarnon weapon evolutions in Warframe

Every Incarnon evolution after the first allows players to choose a different bonus to weapon stats like damage and reload speed, or particular effects such as providing Overshields when particular conditions are met. These evolutions can be changed at any time, allowing players to tinker with different builds to get the best effect.

You can gain additional unique Incarnon weapons from Cavalero or the Sanctum Anatomica (following Whispers in the Walls and the Deadlock Protocol), and you can transform your existing weapons into Incarnon versions with an Incarnon Genesis upgrade, gained from the Steel Path Circuit. The ordinary Circuit rewards players with Warframe pieces, but the Steel Path Circuit offers two options for Incarnon Genesis upgrades each week.

These come from a battle-pass-style reward path. They’re on a similar weekly rotation to the Warframe pieces in the ordinary Circuit, so if there isn’t an option you like right now, you could always wait for it to reset. If you are aiming for a particular Incarnon Genesis weapon, you can also predict when it will next come up. That said, Incarnon forms often significantly change how a weapon feels to play, meaning that it’s a good opportunity to revisit weapons in your arsenal that have lain untouched for some time.
