In the right hands, Hollowburden in Type Soul can be a deadly weapon. It has a two-staged crit that can be difficult to defend against if you land it correctly. Our tier list has it at an A rank only because it requires a particular build.
Hollowburden is a Mythic weapon, which means it’s among the rarest in Type Soul with a 3% drop rate. In order to get Hollowburden, you need to be on the Arrancar path, meaning you need to be a Hollow. These come from pulls using Hollow Boxes gained by buying them after a raid. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do to improve your chances of getting one, so you’ll need to grind raids until you get lucky.
Otherwise, you can try to find someone to trade with. If you have a different Mythic weapon and would prefer to swap it out for a Hollowburden, you may be able to find someone who will oblige.
How to use Hollowburden in Type Soul
If you manage to get your hands on Hollowburden, then you may find it a bit unwieldy to use. Generally, you want to be using Kendo because it provides useful skills to supplement its somewhat weird function.
Essentially, Hollowburden’s critical will cause your character to leap backward pretty far. As I mentioned earlier, however, it’s a two-stage critical, so recasting will jump you back forward in a follow-up attack.
It’s a strange maneuver. Some players favor it, others can’t get a handle on it. Considering its rarity, it can be disappointing if you don’t click with it, so consider this your warning.
