As part of the 1.1 update of Wuthering Waves, we know that we’re getting new Resonators and a new area, Mr. Firmament. Until now, we’ve known little to nothing about Mt. Firmament, but now we have some new exciting insights.
Thanks to an update shared on the Wuthering Waves site, we now know much more about what to expect from Mt. Firmament. There are multiple new events coming, new quests to take part in, and even some challenges to take part in.
Mt. Firmament is located in the southeastern ocean of Jinzhou, cloaked in mist. It’s considered the ancestral homeland of the people of Jinzhou. In order to reach Mt. Firmament, players will need to wait for the help of a “Wayfinder”.
After the update, players will have new exploration quests to complete after reaching Union level 14 and completing the main quest, “Voyage to Firmament.” These quests will be divided into four stages, and by completing them, players will be able to get their hands on a variety of different rewards.
There will also be more photos to collect, but players will only be able to collect these photos after completing the side quest “Scales of Past”, which itself becomes available after completing the main quest “Jinzhou Rising: Thaw of Eons”. Collecting photos will come with rewards.
There are also new mechanics coming as part of the 1.1 update, including:
- Chronosorter, which allows players to “alter the flow of time in a small area” to repair or alter items in the space
- Photonvaults, which can be deactivated using ranged and melee attacks to grand access beyond Photon Barriers
- Leap Devices, which will launch players in the direction they’re facing
There will also be multiple new challenges to take part in. An Echo Challenge which will see the player turn into Clang Bang in order to break ice barriers or fill gaps in sets of ice cubes, and a new take on Tactical Hologram which will see players skiing down slopes as they try to pass through rings on the way down.
Last, but not least, players will be able to collect items called Windchimers using either ranged or melee attacks. Xian’ge, a character in Hongzhen, is trying to repair a damaged Zither and will need our help to collect Windchimers for the purpose.
There is a lot coming with the 1.1 update when it goes live on June 28.
