After completing Excision, Destiny 2 players are treated to one of the best cutscene sequences in the entire franchise. However, a launch glitch caused some players to miss it, while others simply wanted a chance to watch it again.
Traditionally, Destiny 2 players only get one chance to watch a cutscene before they’re gone forever. Over the years, we’ve been trained to always be prepared for an important moment in the story just in case we have the only chance to see it. There’s nothing more devastating than missing a moment every other player has seen, such as the ending cutscene in The Final Shape. However, there’s a way to catch it if you didn’t see it due to a bug or time constraints.
Can you replay the final cutscene from Destiny 2: The Final Shape?
You can replay the final cutscene from Destiny 2: The Final Shape. This wasn’t initially possible in the game, but enough players experienced a bug, and the cutscene is so incredible that Bungie added a way for players to see it again once they’ve unlocked it.
To rewatch the final cutscene from Destiny 2: The Final Shape, you need to launch the game and open The Pale Heart location in the Director. Select the Excision activity as if you’re about to play it, but then click on the difficulty mode setting.
This will open a new menu where you can see four difficulty types. Replay will let you replay the mission without any narrative moments. Narrative is the same, but includes those narrative moments, and Grandmaster is what to play if you want the Ergo Sum Catalyst. Each of these options will see you play through Excision, which is great if you want to earn more loot, but sometimes you just want to watch a cutscene and live through a moment again.
The best option to pick is Epilogue, though, because this will only replay the ending cinematics from Excision, including the part at the very end. This is the peaceful moment I wanted to relive.
