Surprised to find out EA DICE’s Battlefield 1943 outsold everything else on Xbox LIVE Arcade in 2009? Yeah, me too. Don’t get me wrong, I really love the game — especially now that the multiplayer servers aren’t exploding left and right — but people generally seem to dislike paying $15 for digital-only games.
At least, that’s what they tend to say publicly; maybe their wallets say otherwise. This just goes to show, if your game is substantial enough to warrant a higher price, go for it. Another surprise wasn’t seeing Castle Crashers as the runner-up, but was instead seeing Trials HD at number 3 on the top 20.
You guys actually bought the game? I’m so proud. Really, I am. For a while there, especially pre-release, I thought Trials HD was going to be overlooked in a big way.
