With BioShock 2‘s release imminent, it’s about time we heard a thing or two about the game’s midnight launch. 2K sent over a confirmation that around 2,500 GameStop and Best Buy locations will be throwing these late-night shindigs on February 9.
Pretty much all midnight events end up being spectacles regardless of the game, but I’m betting BioShock 2‘s launch will be especially worth seeing with all of the costumed folk in attendance. Alright, you caught me — I really just wanted to repost that picture of community member AngelsDontBurn for like the tenth time.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a full list of participating stores handy. Bummer, right? Senior journalism correspondent Brad Nicholson was able to confirm with the state of Indiana that it will be opening at midnight to sell BioShock 2. However, “they will not have balloons.”
