So here’s how it went down: Nick Chester and I were at the Nintendo media summit yesterday, and we teamed up to try out Nintendo’s DSi title Photo Dojo. I did the poses to be an in-game fighter, but I didn’t know that Nick was going to supply the voice samples. Dick.
No, it was silly fun. You start off by having someone use the DSi camera to photograph you as you take on several prompted poses. Kick, defend, stuff like that. After doing that, you’ll supply the voice for your character. Input all the data and your DSi will crunch numbers and make you a selectable character in this side-scrolling brawler.
The end result is something more silly than serious. You’ll go up against other created characters. In the video above you’ll see that I went up against Giant Bomb’s Jeff Gerstmann. That didn’t end well.
In my defense, Nick was at the controls.
