When Electronic Arts first announced Dead Space 2, it apparently snubbed the PC version and refused to say whether or not keyboard fans would be able to get their hands on the sci-fi horror sequel. EA and developer Visceral have finally put the speculation to bed, officially stating that the game is headed to PC.
However, as one form of gossip dies, another must be born, thus perpetuating the never-ending rumor cycle that we blogs thrive upon. As well as listing Dead Space 2 for PC, EA has also claimed that the game is headed to the “handheld/mobile” arena as well, prompting swift supposition that the game is also coming to the iPhone.
It wouldn’t be too much of a shock. EA is a big publisher, and big publishers do love to pump out games on as many platforms as possible, especially a platform as viable as the iPhone. In fact, if you steal N.O.V.A‘s FPS controls and adapt them into third person, Dead Space could work well. That actually sounds rather good, so please bring it on, Visceral.
