Many of us really aren’t sold on this whole stereoscopic 3D thing — whether it be for movies, sports, or even gaming — like, at all. But hey, that’s not going to stop companies like Sony from pushing forward with the trend while it’s still all up in our faces.
The new line of 3D-capable Bravia HDTVs will soon be appearing in stores, now that they are up for presale. Wait, isn’t this a gaming blog? Yeah. Here’s the relevance: four PlayStation 3 games are going 3D tomorrow for those with a fancy-pants TV and the willingness to flip the magical dimension-adding switch.
Those titles are WipEout HD, Super Stardust HD, PAIN, and the demo for MotorStorm Pacific Rift. If you happen to buy one of the aforementioned Bravia sets, you’ll get a voucher for these PlayStation Network downloads.
Yes, this is only a taste of what’s to come. 3D support has also been announced for The Fight: Lights Out, which actually sounds somewhat interesting to me. PlayStation Move working in conjunction with 3D could be cool, I guess.
