Good news! Destructoid (the show) finally launched on Revision3.com today! For our inaugural episode, Tara Long and I cover tons of stories from NYCC, including the playable build of Red Dead Redemption, the new characters from Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Mega Man Legends 3 stuff, the real Chibiterasu caught on camera, and more. Wait, it gets better. Hard hitting journalist Jim Sterling has a special report from Iraq on the insane political battleground that is… NBA Jam.Â
All in all, I think it was a good first attempt. I can’t wait to try and outdo this episode when we shoot again on Wednesday. Hopefully, we’ll have some user submissions by then as well.
That’s right, we want to use your videos on the show! Shoot a video and drop it to our Destructoid (the show) group; the more creative and eye catching the better. It can straight editorial, satire, or comedy; whatever you think best plays to your strengths. That’s what I tried to do in the community blogs starting 3 years ago, and now I’ve got my own room at Dtoid HQ, “professionally” talking about videogames on a internet show, living the dream. If I can do it, anyone can do it, but first, you’ve got to take a chance and put yourself out there. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
And thanks again to Tara Long and the good people at Revision3 for putting up with my teleprompter fails and first day jitters. You guys are fantastic.
