We get a lot of weird sh*t in the mail, from knives to bloody hair to boxes we have to smash with a hammer in order to get them to stop playing music. So the package Tecmo sent me this week isn’t particularly shocking, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
As part of a promo for its upcoming DS title, Again, Tecmo sent along a personalized “threat,” as pictured above. It mirrors the note found in the game, which follows the investigation of 19-year-old murders using the protagonist’s “Past Vision” powers for investigation. Of course, warning me about it does nothing; I don’t have “Past Vision” powers. We can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday.
Also in the package was a Poloroid picture of the “Eye of Providence” (a key clue and theme in the game), along with thick script of Again‘s prologue. The title, developed by CiNG (the folks behind Hotel Dusk) has a strong focus on narrative (and puzzle solving), which would explain the latter.
After the jump you’ll find video of two Again puzzle-solving gameplay clips, which means I should probably go ahead and say “SPOILER ALERT.” I’ve also included some character bios, in case you’re looking to brush up on your Again trivia.
