Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 trailer and DLC reveals

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is out, and Capcom is celebrating with one last promotional trailer. They’re also showing off the first set of downloadable costumes for the game. You get Iron Man looking like Norman Osborn’s Iron Patriot from the Dark Siege era, 80’s Thor, current day Steve Rogers, Resident Evil 1 Chris Redfield, Sparda Dante, and Street Fighter 1 Ryu.

Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? I’m guessing that your level of excitement about this announcement may vary depending on which side of that question you fall on. Regardless of how knowledgeable you are on your Marvel/Capcom lore, I think you’ll be interested in this next bit of DLC. Dubbed “Shadow mode,” this content allows you to download the A.I. of some famous names involved with the Marvel Vs. Capcom series, including Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma. Both Shadow mode and the costume pack will be available for purchase on March 1st.

This is the kind of stuff that I wish was included in the initial sale of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, though I can’t fault Capcom for giving me the option to purchase it now. How about you? You think this stuff is worth the cost?
