I was so excited about PS3 title Tokyo Jungle when I played it at last year’s Tokyo Game Show. Since then we’ve heard next to nothing about the strange and hilarious animal survival title. I’ve cried a few times.
The latest Famitsu update finally gives us some new info on Tokyo Jungle’s two modes: story and survival.
The story mode has you playing through individual stories for each animal, which is going to be a riot. I played through a bit of a little dog’s story before. Watching him tackle other animals in slow motion had me rolling. Eventually you’ll learn why mankind disappeared from Earth and why there’s only animals left in Tokyo, says Andriasang.
In survival mode you’ll pick an animal and see how many years you can survive in this ruined Tokyo on your own. There’s going to be 55 animal types and 75 variations. I hope there’s a corgi. Please let there be a corgi. I saw none in Famitsu’s new batch of screenshots.
The game is still listed for a 2011 release.
FINE HUNT!
