The naming scheme for the Castlevania series has always been rather bizarre, to put it nicely. It’s one of those situations where because we were forced to put up with it for so long, the weirdness eventually wore off. Yeah, the aftertaste is still there, but we have mostly gotten used to it.
The upcoming iPhone-bound reimagining of Symphony of the Night as a puzzle game, Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night, though — uh, what? I’m still attempting to make sense of the title, and it was announced over a month ago.
Konami tossed a new trailer for the game our way. Unsurprisingly, Encore of the Night seems to play exactly like how you’d think it would based on previously released screenshots. The repurposed art assets certainly make this project look like a quick cash grab, but if it’s fun, we’re so there.
