Square Enix is currently looking into Wii U support. Someone at a recent Square Enix shareholders meeting had a great idea: How about putting that long-awaited Dragon Quest X on the Wii U instead of the Wii.
According to Andriasang, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada was asked why they would release Dragon Quest X on the Wii when the Wii U is already on the horizon. Wada responded that Square Enix must consider making the game compatible with both the Wii and the Wii U. Of course, that’s not quite confirmation of a Wii U DQX, but it at least gives some hope.
Maybe they could pack one box with both standard (Wii) and a HD (Wii U) versions of the game.
