The first screenshots for Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends have been revealed, mostly showing off the new character Guo Jia. He fights with some sort of magic stick link mystically to an orb of some kind. Because why not?
It also appears that Xiahou Dun is getting his old Kirin Blade back, and hopefully that means a lot of characters from the main game will be getting some of their previous weaponry. I think reducing the amount of characters who share weapons — and consequently movesets — is the least Koei could do to make this expansion worthwhile.
I know, I’m naive.
