Papercraft scares me. The whole prospect of it is intimidating, even without my stupid fingers to clumsy things up. Delightful as the photos of finished products wind up being, thinking about what a torn mess the ones I make would inevitably be has saved me a lot of time and frustration.
Take this Okamiden papercraft of Chibiterasu, for example. Look at the slight, delicate bend in the legs to make the feet. I would gracelessly crinkle in the corners and make what’s supposed to be a vibrant and youthful embodiment of a God into a wrinkly old dog. Nobody wants that.
If you’re made of firmer, more skillful stuff than I am, you can attempt this yourself. Nintendo Papercraft has posted printable instructions to their site, which I expect offers insight into how this thing was made. I wish you all luck. I’ll be over here doing something I’m at least competent at.
