You can’t have a decent gaming convention without panels, or so it would seem. QuakeCon 2011 will kick off with a keynote from id Software co-founder and technical director John Carmack, because he’s the guy you get for this sort of thing.
The convention will be home to presentations on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Prey 2 — these are sure to fill up fast — in addition to talks on “20 Years of id Software,” “First-person Perspectives,” “Ultimate Origins: The Games That Influence Us,” and more.
