Multiplayer beta action is coming up next week for Resistance 3. Today Insomniac talks dates and details.
Those that got the special marked SOCOM 4 box are up first. You will get your chance on Thursday, August 4th. You’ll just need to redeem your codes on PSN. PlayStation Plus subscribers in the U.S. will also be invited to join the beta beginning on August 23rd. If you’re a subscriber, you’ll only need to hit the PlayStation Plus section of the PlayStation Store to download the beta.
You can expect two maps in the beta: Seaside of Glamorgan, Wales, and a Trainyard in Bogota, Colombia. You’ll also get two modes: Team Deathmatch and Chain Reaction. You’ll have to wait for the full game to try out Deathmatch, Breach, and CTF. In the beta you can level your character up, buy and upgrade weapons and abilities, customize your loadouts and unlock new character skins. The beta will be capped at level 20 so that you’ll have something to look forward to when you get the full game.
