Hey, are you sitting down? I’ve got some shocking news for you, and I don’t know if you’re going to be prepared for it — Electronic Arts has folks working on The Sims 4. It hasn’t been announced yet, and while I have them, I don’t need sources to back this one up. Why? Well, The Sims 3 sold 1.4 million copies during its first week on shelves. You do the math.
Here’s some not-so-damning evidence of its existence — a domain name! Back in July, Electronic Arts registered the domain TheSims4.com. Squatters take note, I’ve noticed that EA has also registered TheSims5.com, TheSims6.com, TheSims7.com, and then I stopped checking because this is getting ridiculous.
I don’t believe TheSimsLivingTheHighLifeOMGWTF.com or TheSimsBedIntruder.com have been taken, so there’s that.
From what birdies have told me, The Sims 4 is a “from the ground up” operation, and it’s going to be massive. Emphasis on the “massive.”
