It seems like only a few weeks ago some of us were playing the beta, but Gears of War 3 is practically here — it’s releasing next Tuesday, September 20.
We’ve entered the time of year when game launches are expected to be spectacles, and of course the latest from Epic Games is no exception. In the United States, the main event will be at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square, as is usually the case, where GameTrailers TV will broadcast live.
They’ll also have Gears 3 tournaments with exclusive prizes, the developers on hand, and to make this slightly more mainstream, Big Sean will perform. Also, someone’s taking home that ridiculous custom chopper.
Golden Wings Week:
Figured I’d stick this on top of the launch details, so no one missed it. Thanks to a partnership with US Air Force, playing an online match of Gears 3 between Sept. 20 – 26 will net you Golden Lancer and Golden Hammerburst multiplayer skins.
