MMO overlord Blizzard may have dominance over the market, but it can’t control its own secret documents. Blizzard’s plans for the next five years have recently leaked online, revealing expansions for StarCraft II and Diablo III, as well as the name of a brand new game, Titan.
According to the leak, Diablo III will release in the fourth quarter of 2011, at the same time StarCraft II gets an expansion and the Phoenix campaign. Another StarCraft expansion will arrive in 2013, and new expansions for Diablo III are planned in both 2013 and 2014.
The long-awaited World of Warcraft movie is slated for the fourth quarter of 2012 while a new WoW expansion will hit in Q2 of the same year. Yet another expansion will pop along in Q4 of 2013.
All this is bookended by Titan, a game about which we know nothing. Popular opinion claims it will be a brand new MMO, but I guess we’ll have to wait until we’re closer to Q4 2013, when the game’s due to launch.
So that’s a lot of stuff for you to think about.
