Hands-on with Lilt Line (featuring Ashley Davis)

Ashley Davis (of Once Upon a Pixel and Hey Ash Watcha Playin’ fame) and I got some quality time in with Lilt Line a few months ago at PAX, but we thought it best to save our impressions until the game was actually released. The game finally came out today, so here you go!

Lilt Line is one of the most simple-yet-stimulating games that I’ve played in a while. It’s no wonder that it’s been published by the creators of the Bit.Trip series. In many ways, playing the game feels more like playing a real instrument than most plastic guitar games do. The difference is, this is a musical instrument that was created from electric voodoo and boglin magic. The dubstep skank certianly doesn’t hurt either.

The game is now available on WiiWare and iPhone if you want to play it. There are even demos; free ones! You’ve got no excuses, dummy! Play that thang.
