Well, they’re not completely free. You have to buy a PS3 first, but hey – they’re $100 off right now. You had better jump on them while they’re hot, though. It seems there is a liquidation going on.
GameStop has an advertisement for five free Blu-Ray movies when a PS3 is purchased between July 1 and September 30, 2007 at their stores. Sure, it’s a mail-in rebate (printable coupon), but that’s five movies, which comes out to about a $150 value.
No, you don’t have to get five copies of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, although we’re not sure why you wouldn’t want to. In all seriousness, there are some good titles coming. July 31st brings 300, and you know you’ll wanna see that in all of its high-definition glory. Next week brings the “fixed” version of The Fifth Element (they f*cked up the first Blu-Ray version). These and others should hold you over until some good games come out.
