Here’s a new developer diary from Visceral Games for Dead Space 2. Producer Scott Probst takes us on a tour of the abilities players will be able to use when they take control of the necromorph menace for the first time in Dead Space 2’s multiplayer. Necromorphs have the advantage of being able to see human players anywhere on the map and each of the four types has their own special attacks and moves.
The way they break down the various roles of the necromorphs, they make this sound like Left 4 Dead multiplayer. I’m not saying that as a negative criticism. Left 4 Dead is perfectly fine as a competitive multiplayer experience. But I am somehow left feeling disappointed nonetheless. Hopefully my mood will shift when the game comes out next week.
