The indie games are taking the stage again next week. Xbox and Twitch are airing a new ID@Xbox showcase featuring updates and announcements centered around independent developers next week.

Updates, trailers, and gameplay are all on deck for the showcase, as well as some new announcements. Finji, the publisher behind Chicory: A Colorful Tale and Tunic, will be in attendance, as will Whitethorn. The first game from iam8bit’s publishing label will also be revealed. The teams behind Shredders, Roblox, and other games will also have news to share.
The indie-focused shows are always an interesting time. More often than not, I’m surprised by something in the lineup, or find a new gem to keep an eye on. Showcases like these are where I first heard about neat projects like small-town mail delivery sim Lake and fishing RPG Moonglow Bay.
Even with a massive lineup like past showcases have had, there’s a good chance that something in there will appeal to someone. Plus, odds are good that at least a few will go to Game Pass, and that’s a win all around if you already have a subscription for Xbox or PC.
Hopefully, next week’s has even more surprises in store. The show goes live at 10 a.m. PT.
