Are games art? Who cares? This is: Ballistic Publishing’s The Art of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
It comes out this month in three flavors — Folio ($300), Special Edition ($129), and standard softcover ($65). The Folio edition is limited to only 200 printed copies, the book is bound in black suede leather, along with a matching presentation case. On top of that, it’s signed by key members of the Naughty Dog team, and comes with a certificate of authenticity, making it the perfect collector’s piece. Also, that’s the only thing that will guarantee you’ll fetch a pretty penny for it on eBay.
The most “special” thing about the “Special Edition” is that it’s bound in leather, which is pretty special if you’re a fan of dead animal. Each book, regardless of edition, is 272 pages in length — that’s 180 pages of concept art, and over 80 pages of production art and character models.
