It would appear the recently released Armored Core VI is no exception to that, as a user on NexusMods has released a mod entitled “Thomas the Tank Engine Wheelchair Swap.” And, speaking unironically, it doesn’t even look that bad.
“Thomas the Tank Engine Wheelchair Swap,” created by NexusMods user ScrubMilk, is meant to replace “the EL-TL-11 FORTALEZA legs with Thomas the Tank Engine,” according to the original post. But users who want a pristine, unparalleled mod experience might want to look elsewhere, as ScrubMilk makes it abundantly clear this is nothing but a fun, silly meme mod for laughs.
How to install mods in Armored Core VI
If we haven’t lost you yet, and you’d like to install the Thomas the Tank Engine mod for your next Armored Core VI run, look no further. While those familiar with Nexus may use its automated install option, Vortex, that’s not a route you can take here. Instead, you’ll need to manually adjust or use another third-party program, Mod Engine.
According to ScrubMilk, this mod can be installed using Mod Engine 2.1, which makes it remarkably easy to install the mod into your instance of Armored Core VI. Download the mod from NexusMods, unzip it, and then drop the folder labeled “parts” into Mod Engine’s “mod” directory. You can then launch the mod by running the file named “launchmod_armoredcore6.bat.”
While plenty of mods are all tongue-in-cheek, recent AAA releases are popping off with user-generated content. Games like Starfield have already hosted their own thriving collections, including handy tweaks like a free DLSS3 mod.
