A tiny, tiny cameo
People have been playing Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for roughly four years since its debut on the Wii U, and just this week someone found a fresh Metroid Easter egg. Pretty wild!
Twitter user Shane Marchis managed to hunt it down on the Amiss Abyss, and it involves a bit of backtracking that you wouldn’t normally do, which explains why it was hidden for this long. I mean even if someone found it in the past I can easily see them missing it if they aren’t paying attention.
See it? Enhance, enhance. It’s a little Metroid! He’s right above the player character in that shot below. In addition to the screen Shane took a video explaining how he came across it. In case you’re wondering, yes it is in both the Wii U and Switch editions.
