Alhaitham is a powerful 5-star Dendro DPS character in Genshin Impact. If you’ve just pulled your Alhaitham, here’s everything you’ll need to get him ready for battle!
Character Ascension materials for Alhaitham
Pseudo-Stamens – Setekh Wenut
Alhaitham’s world boss is the Setekh Wenut in the Sumeru desert. To defeat the Wenut, wait for it to fly into the air and summon orbs of Anemo energy. Hit two of the orbs with Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo to stun the Wenut and lower its RES to the element you chose. It helps to bring a Bow user of your chosen element.
Alhaitham requires 46 Perpetual Calibers to Ascend to level 90. You’ll need to challenge the Setekh Wenut about 18 times, spending about 720 Resin at World Level 8.
Sand Grease Pupa
For his local specialty, Alhaitham uses Sand Grease Pupae from the Sumeru desert. These little gray egg-shaped objects can be found in the Desert of Hadramaveth. Some of these areas are underground.
Alhaitham needs 168 pupae in total in order to fully Ascend. There are only 74 pupae in the open world, so you may need to wait 48 hours for your pupae to respawn after gathering them.
Eremite Blindfolds
Alhaitham’s common enemy materials are the red blindfolds that drop from Eremite enemies. Eremites are common in all areas of Sumeru.
Alhaitham will need 18 Faded Red Satins, 30 Trimmed Red Silks, and 36 Rich Red Brocades to reach max Ascension. Be sure to gather some extra for Alhaitham’s Talent levels.
Nagadus Emeralds
Alhaitham uses green Dendro gems. Unfortunately, the Setekh Wenut does not drop Nagadus Emeralds. If you’re short on gems of the correct element, go to an alchemy bench and convert some from another element using Dust of Azoth.
You will need 1 Nagadus Emerald Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks, and 6 Gemstones in total.
Talent Levels
Alhaitham uses all of his Talents during combat, so I don’t recommend neglecting any of them. The material and Resin totals below represent the full cost of leveling all three of his Talents to level 10. You should level all three, but you can stop at level 9 if you need to.
Ingenuity Books
Alhaitham’s Talents require Ingenuity books. These can be obtained from the Sumeru Talent domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
To fully level Alhaitham’s Talents, you’ll need a total of 9 brown books, 63 silver books, and 114 gold books. Depending on your drops, this will cost an average of about 2,480 Resin.
Eremite Blindfolds
Eremite enemies can be found all over Sumeru.
Alhaitham’s Talents require 18 Faded Red Satins, 66 Trimmed Red Silks, and 93 Rich Red Brocades in order to reach level 10.
Mirror of Mushin – Scaramouche
Alhaitham’s weekly boss is the Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom (aka Scaramouche), who drops Mirrors of Mushin. The domain itself is unlocked after completing the Sumeru Archon Quests, but you can quick-start the challenge from the Adventurer’s Handbook.
You will need 18 Mirrors of Mushin in total. If you take on the challenge at the highest difficulty, expect to do about 8 weeks of farming.
