Life-sim adventure Heartopia has plenty of hobbies to engage in, but you’ll need to unlock all of them. Once done, you can also upgrade them during your adventure.

Hobbies refer to core activities in Heartopia that you can engage in to earn different resources. The resources include money, materials, and quests. While a few hobbies are unlocked automatically, the rest have to be activated by completing specific tasks.

There are seven hobbies currently available in Heartopia.

  • Gardening: Allows you to grow plants and vegetables, and harvest them for money.
  • Fishing: Allows you to catch fish from various ponds and rivers. You can either sell them for money or display them in tanks.
  • Birdwatch: Allows you to observe birds and find out more about them.
  • Insect Catching: Allows you to catch bugs and insects.
  • Cooking: Allows you to cook different recipes and gain experience.
  • Cat Care: Allows you to adopt a cat.
  • Dog Care: Allows you to adopt a dog.

How to unlock hobbies in Heartopia

To unlock a hobby, you’ll need a Hobby Expansion Ticket. These tickets are limited, so be sure about what you want to unlock.

  • Fishing: Unlocks automatically in the tutorial.
  • Catching Insects: Reach developer level 6.
  • Gardening: Unlocks automatically after you finish the tutorial.
  • Birdwatching: Reach developer level 6.
  • Cooking: Reach developer level 6.
  • Cat Care: Reach developer level 12.
  • Dog Care: Reach developer level 12.

How to upgrade hobbies in Heartopia

Once you have unlocked a hobby, you’ll need to progress it by actively practicing the task. Whenever you get a new collection entry, your progression will increase. You’ll get new content and gifts from every upgrade level. To upgrade your hobbies, you’ll also need to use a Hobby Upgrade Ticket.
