Early on while playing as Saga Anderson, you may discover the first in a short series of TV commercials brought to you by Ilmo and Jaakko Koskela. There is plenty more, and they’re scattered all around, but we know all the locations of the Koskela Brother commercials in Alan Wake 2.
There are a total of six Koskela Brother commercials to discover in Alan Wake 2. Finding them all rewards in an achievement or trophy, but not too much else. Okay, I honestly believe they’re worth hunting down so you can revel in the knee-slapping hilarity that is the bros’ attempt at amateur advertising. The live-action shenanigans and stiff acting are enough for just about anyone to want to kick back and marathon them during their next kalsarikännit.
Where to find all Koskela Brother commercials and locations in Alan Wake 2
Ilmo and Jaakko are local twin entrepreneurs using everything within their means to bring life back to the towns of Watery and Bright Falls. The commercials advertise many of their ventures, which include Ahma Beer and Coffee World. You can find the first one early, not long after you finish up with Nightingale at the Sheriff’s Station.
When you find a TV playing a commercial, get near it and press the activation button or key to view it up close. You’ll know that you unlocked the commercial when you see a VHS tape (ask your parents) appear on the screen’s bottom-left with the commercial’s name. The commercials you unlocked are available in Saga’s Mind Place in the ‘Television’ section.
Adventure Tours
The first Koskela Brother commercial you’ll likely find is located in the Sheriff’s Station. Search around for the station’s rec room, and you should hear the commercial before spotting it. Look toward the wall, toward the right of the sofa.
Coffee World
The next commercial you can track down is in the Elderwood Palace Lodge in Bright Falls during the chapter Return 3: Local Girl. You should hear it playing as you approach the building’s exit. Look on the wall to the right of the reception desk. This commercial clues you in on what’s to come in the chapter. Just keep in mind that not everything is as advertised.
Ahma Beer
Before you head off to Watery, take a trip to the Oh Deer Diner in Bright Falls. Up on the wall, and past the dank, you’ll spot a TV with a commercial for Ahma Beer.
Parade Floats
Later in Return 3: Local Girl, you’ll reach the Lighthouse Trailer Park which hides the next of the Koskela Brother commercials in Alan Wake 2. After speaking with Tor and Odin, go to the trailer across the way from “Saga’s Trailer.” Inside, a TV is playing with a commercial for Parade Floats. Again, this is a hint for what comes next, specifically at the Karavela Knights Workshop.
Bright Falls Blend
The fifth commercial isn’t available until you reach Return 5: Old Gods. Locate the lounge room in the Valhalla Nursing Home. Once you’ve made enough progress in the area, you’ll trigger the fifth commercial to play. And this one is all about delicious coffee, which will only be served during Deerfest. Speaking of…
“Return” Review
The last of the Koskela Brother commercials you can locate won’t be viewable until you reach Return 8: Deerfest — which is close to the end of Alan Wake 2. Walk down the street and head into the Oh Deer Diner. The TV playing the commercial is in the corner, to the left of the kitchen door.
