Fatalities, Brutalities, etc
When Alien eventually comes to Mortal Kombat X, it won’t necessarily be the exact Alien we’ve come to know and love. It’s a species cross-bred with Baraka, meaning that it’s different. It’s more upright and bipedal, and it has blades on its arms. It’s not quite the perfect organism that H.R. Giger created decades ago.
But, its special moves are wonderfully Giger-esque. NetherRealm held a stream last week to show off the Xenomorph, including its Fatalities and Brutalities. There’s a lot of poke, poke, poking with the tail before it gets you with the little mouth. Also, a Facehugger Brutality with a much-quicker gestation period.
Oh yeah, the Queen seems to show up just for the Fatality. Not sure where she was hiding. I like the idea of her cheering in the background with a two-sprite animation like she’s an extra in Guile’s stage.
