Ultron’s abilities and kit are believed to focus on summoning drones to heal and support his allies, although they haven’t been officially revealed by the Marvel Rivals team yet. A few reliable members of the community who have strong track records of getting previous upcoming content right have shared his alleged skills.

Ultron has six known skills so far, but it’s likely he’s got at least one more, expected to be a Team-Up, that hasn’t been revealed yet since all new heroes who have been released so far have come with a new Team-Up. As any new details surrounding Ultron’s abilities and kit are revealed, we’ll add them here.

Ultron’s Encephalo-Ray functions as his primary attack, allowing him to unleash a deadly burning energy beam. This ray is expected to deal damage and heal, similar to Dagger and Invisible Woman’s primary abilities, but it’s only been confirmed to deal damage so far. It seems like it’s meant to heal, too, since his ultimate move is based on it and can damage or heal.

Imperative: Firewall and Imperative: Patch work together to help Ultron protect and heal his teammates. You can use Imperative: Patch to summon a drone and have it stick to one ally, similar to Luna Snow’s Share the Stage skill, and then use Imperative: Firewall to summon additional drones for the rest of the team. The Imperative: Patch target gets the most healing, but all others nearby get health restoration, too.

If he’s a Strategist as expected, Ultron will be the first to fly using his Dynamic Flight ability. Cloak & Dagger and Rocket Raccoon can hover briefly, but no Strategist can truly fly, so Ultron will be a powerful new pick for this ability. His Algorithm Correction passive move also allows him to fall slowly, extending the time he can stay in the air.

His final ability is Rage of Ultron, a daunting ultimate move where he summons drones to fire Encephalo-Rays. These rays can heal his allies and damage his enemies, making it a flexible move for any combat situation.

What role is Ultron in Marvel Rivals?

Ultron’s role hasn’t officially been announced, but leaks indicate that he’ll join Marvel Rivals as a Strategist. Several reliable leakers who have accurately predicted past game content have shared this as his official role, including X0XLEAK and RivalsLeaks.

He’s also already been leaked in the official character select screen, appearing next to other Strategists. His leaked abilities also line up with the Strategist role, as his kit focuses on supplying healing and helping the rest of the team succeed.

When will Ultron be released in Marvel Rivals?

Ultron is officially slated for release in the second half of season two, which should start around the end of May. He was originally only speculated to be joining the lineup during this season, but he was officially confirmed in the Dev Vision Vol. 05 shared by the Marvel Rivals team on April 3.

While you wait for Ultron’s arrival, consider learning about Emma Frost’s abilities, unlocking all Hellfire Gala outfits, grabbing the Pick-Up Bundle, and getting the free Scarlet Witch Chaos Gown skin.
