When all else fails, make something cheaper and people will buy it. It’s some human disease that we are all afflicted with to some degree — the cheaper an item is, the more our sense of bargain hunting convinces us that we should obtain the item “just because” it is so cheap. This is, in fact, the only reason anyone owns a copy of Sneak King.
Hot on the heels of the news that the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark will have “improvements” on the original 360 version, EB Games has listed the upcoming release at $29.99, while the 360 version remains $49.99. How about that. Perhaps a whole new legion of gamers will pick it up now, murmuring to themselves “It’s probably not that bad … and it’s only thirty bucks, after all.”
