It’s confirmed, and it’s happening! The Boys’ official page on Twitter has shared a trailer that reveals the exciting Call of Duty crossover. Brace yourselves because Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir will be joining the game! As a result of this collaboration, a new field upgrade known as Temp V will also appear. So let’s delve into the details and explore what this field upgrade has in store for you.
What’s the new Temp V Field Upgrade?
If you’re a fan of The Boys series, you might have an idea of what this is all about. In the show, Temp V is a modified version of Compound V, a serum that gives regular folks superpowers. Well, in the game, Temp V works as a field upgrade that grants you one of four superpowers in your field upgrade slot. But here’s the catch — it’s not your typical field upgrade.
Once you activate Temp V, you’re free to unleash that superpower whenever you want. It’s like having a secret weapon up your sleeve! However, if you get eliminated before activating the power, just like a regular field upgrade, it’s lost upon death. So use it wisely.
Let’s talk about the four superpowers you can get your hands on:
- Charge Jump: If you’re all about speed and agility, this one’s for you. The Charge Jump will launch you across the map in epic bounds, and the best part? You won’t take any fall damage when you land. Not only that, but you’ll also deal splash damage to anything or anyone within a short radius of your landing spot. Talk about making an impact!
- Electric Shockwave: Need something to fry your enemies and wreak some havoc? The Electric Shockwave creates a powerful electrical explosion that damages both Operators and AI Combatants. It’s great for taking out vehicles as well. Zap your way to win!
- Laser Vision: Now, this one will make you feel like Homelander from The Boys. Activate Laser Vision and watch as you levitate and unleash a devastating laser beam that cuts through enemy targets in whatever direction you’re looking. No one’s safe from your laser rage!
- Teleport: Need a quick escape or a tactical advantage? Say hello to Teleport. Just as the name suggests, you can instantly teleport yourself upward. It can be a real game-changer, especially during intense combat situations. Use it wisely and outmaneuver your opponents.
Moreover, each hero from the series is getting their own Operator Bundle. Starlight’s bundle will be available on July 12, Homelander’s on July 16, and Black Noir’s on July 20. Each bundle is priced at 2,400 COD points and includes the character, weapon charms, stickers, emblems, and weapon blueprints as well.
