Downloads on the Android Market have now hit the 11 billion mark. That’s up from last month’s 10 billion, and enough to make the boys over at Apple wince. Android-compatible tablets flew off shelves over the holiday season, and I’m sure users immediately began pulling down games and other apps to fill them up.
Google has just revealed that activations have now passed the 250 million mark. This means that 50 million more have been activated since November! Pocketgamer.biz says that means that activations are running at a rate of about 5.6 million new devices a week.
